In the summer, Sunny Beach totally lives up to its name — it's hot, sunny, and buzzing with life.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what you can expect:

If you have booked a vacation in June, the weather will be warm and pleasant, with average highs around 26°C (79°F). The sea starts warming up, and it's not too crowded yet.

In July & August it is peak summer! Daily highs often reach 29–31°C (84–88°F). Lots of sunshine, hardly any rain, and the sea is perfect for swimming — around 25°C (77°F). It’s party central during these months.

In the evenings it is still warm but a bit breezy, usually around 18–21°C (64–70°F). Ideal for beach bars and late-night strolls.

If you want a mix of good weather and a more relaxed atmosphere consider coming in May or September.

Both months are actually awesome times to visit Sunny Beach if you want to dodge the big crowds but still enjoy decent weather!

In May it is still quieter, things are just starting to open up for the season. Great for relaxing walks and getting the beach mostly to yourself.

The temperature at daytime highs around 21–24°C (70–75°F).

In the evenings it is cooler, around 13–15°C (55–59°F) — maybe bring a light jacket.

The sea is still a bit chilly, around 17–19°C (63–66°F), but some brave souls start dipping in.

September is chiller than July and August, but still lively, especially the first half of the month. The bars, restaurants and most attractions stay open until the end of the month.

Temperature highs around 25–27°C (77–81°F) early in the month, cooling down later.

The evenings are comfortable, usually 15–17°C (59–63°F).

The sea is still warm from the summer — around 23–25°C (73–77°F). Perfect for swimming!

So if you're after a balance of warm weather and fewer people, September is a sweet spot — still beach-worthy but way more chill than peak season.
